Thinking about opening your own vape shop?

Updated: Oct 25, 2019

It has become quite clear that the vaping industry is rapidly growing. There are a lot of entrepreneurs who are now jumping on the bandwagon and considering opening a vape shop. If this sounds like something you would be interested in then you’re reading the right blog! We can’t give you specific instructions for setting up a vape shop due to the variations in rules and regulations, but we can provide some handy tips to try and make it successful as possible.

First things first, you will need a business license which is valid for your area, a tax ID and your finances planned out.

You can either open a vape shop through a franchise or you can open an independent store. If you decide to go for a franchise then you will have to follow specific corporate guidelines, however if you decide to go independently then you can choose your own course of action. Both ways of setting up a vape shop have their advantages and disadvantages.

Entrepreneurs will face long days of hard work, stress and anxiety. But all this hard work usually pays off! Knowing how to open your vape shop begins with knowing what your customers want. After you have conducted your research on the local area and popular E-Liquid flavours, you can then focus on getting customers through your doors and charming them with great customer service.

Here are the three key factors for a successful vape shop:

Location Where you open your vape shop is one of the most important factors you have to consider. You’ll have to do your research, know your city or town and search for potential locations. Below are some tips for choosing the right location:

· Parking – it’s all about convenience! Parking is something that will persuade a potential customer to come into your store rather than one without parking.

· Visibility – Choose a shop location that people will see from walking past or driving past and where a visible sign can be put up.

· A corner location - this is best as it can be approached by two different directions.

Hiring the right staff

Most vape shops are open six or seven days a week, meaning you will more than likely have to hire staff to help out. This decision can make or break your shop so it is important that your staff can relate to customers, provide great customer service and know everything there is to know about vaping.

Products within the vape shop

The quality of the E-Liquid and vape devices is one of the most important factors. You need to try and avoid untrustworthy suppliers that are offering prices that seem too good to be true.

The main things to provide in your shop are good quality E-Liquids, advanced mods and vapourisers, and e-cigarettes suitable for beginners. Also, having a range of different products and a variety of different vaping styles will help your store be successful.
