There are two types of vape devices, closed-system and open-system. Closed-system devices are simply pre-filled so the individual doesn't have to fill them up with E-Liquid themselves. Whereas, open-system devices allow the individual to fill the clearomiser themselves and change parts of the device.

Below are a few simple tips to help you keep your device in good condition.

Keep the right amount of E-Liquid in the tank

When it comes to filling up your tank, there is a level that is best to stick to. If you don't have enough E-Liquid in your tank, you will more than likely encounter a dry hit. On the other hand, if you have too much E-Liquid in your tank, you run the risk of flooding your device. Therefore, making sure you have the right amount of E-Liquid will ensure you have the best vape experience. Your device will usually have a line on it where the optimal fill level is. Simply remove the mouthpiece and squeeze the bottle of E-Liquid into the tank until you reach the right level.

Clean the mouthpiece

Cleaning your mouthpiece is something that you should do occasionally to make sure you are getting the best possible vape experience. You'll be pleased to know that this is very easy to do. Before you start cleaning your mouthpiece, you should make sure that the device is cold. Then, all you need to do is remove the tip and blow through it, giving it a clean with either a cotton wool bud or a cloth.

Replacing the coil

Whether you like it or not, every vapers' coil burns out. This will happen at different rates depending on how often and what type of E-Liquid you vape, but usually it is around 2 weeks. To change the coil in a device, you will need to unscrew the old coil (if you have difficulty with this, then a small pair of pliers can help). You then screw in the new coil and you're good to go!

Cleaning the battery

Around every 4 weeks, it is a good idea to clean your battery with a cotton wool bud or a cloth, to make sure there is no dirt around the battery.

Cleaning the tank

Unscrew the tank from the battery and pour out the remaining E-Liquid. Then wash the tank with warm water and a little bit of soap.
